Bob won 2nd place in the Classic Cowboy class, while J.P. won 1st place in Long Range Lever Action Big Bore Rifle and 2nd place in Frontiersman class at the 2003 Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) Texas State Championships.

Bob Evans has been an active CHL instructor since 1995. Bob is a retired Navy Chief Warrant Officer with 30 years service. During that time he has been a Navy Law Enforcement and Security Supervisor, a Force Protection Officer, Antiterrorist Training Officer and a Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor. He has taught Archery to Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts. As a National Archery Association Coach, he has also taught adults how to teach archery to students. He is also a NRA Range Safety Officer, NRA Certified Instructor, and SASS RO 1 and RO 2.

J.P. Evans is a retired Navy Chief Gunners Mate and an active CHL instructor since 1995. He was an ordinance supervisor and a small arms marksmanship instructor. He was a Navy Security Supervisor and Antiterrorist Training Officer. He is also a NRA Range Safety Officer, NRA Certified Instructor, and SASS RO 1.
